Do you have a stink coming from you garbage disposal and don’t know how to make it go away? The stink is probably caused by food that was not completely dissolved and stayed in the disposal. To fix this problem there is two things you can do right now to solve the issue.
Option 1:
Grab a lemon or citrus fruit of your choice, turn on water and disposal as you add the juice of the lemon without the peal for quick deodorizing. DO NOT put slices of Citrus into the disposal and then turn it on. Any kind of hard or tough-peeled vegetable/citrus should not be put in the garbage disposal. They can ruin your disposal and therefore should be tossed in the garbage or better yet in a decomposer. This method can be done once in a while and not to often because the citric acid can eventually corrode your metal parts.
Option 2:
Pour 1/3 cup of baking soda down the disposal.
Pour the 1/3 cup of white vinegar into the disposal.
It will foam and bubble. Wait for 5 minutes and then turn the water on.
